Long-Term Care (LTC) Services

Long-term care (LTC) refers to the help our loved ones need when they can no longer care for themselves. Activities of daily living such as brushing their teeth, cooking, or bathing may no longer be feasible for someone with chronic or debilitating illnesses. LTC services can be available in the home or at a facility specializing in such care.

There are many reasons why family members may seek LTC as an option for their loved ones:

• • A patient with a severe ongoing health condition, such as a heart attack or stroke
• • Frailty caused by older age
• • Cognitive mental disability (dementia, Alzheimer’s etc.)
